Learn to Accept Change

One of the most important facts of life is that change is a given

It doesn’t matter what you do to prevent it from happening, you and your life are in an ongoing process of change…

Are you someone who has and continues to expend a lot of time and energy resisting the changes that have already happened or are currently happening in your life?

If the answer is yes you’re not alone, many people consciously or unconsciously resist change.

A  common and overlooked way in which resistance plays out is when your mind views and puts experiences and events into categories of good or bad; right or wrong; positive or negative, and rejects those experiences and/ or events that you deem to be bad, wrong, or negative…

This is referred to as dualistic thinking.

From the perspective of Living in Alignment, the tendency to view experiences and events from a dualistic lens is a primary factor that gets in the way of accepting the changes that have already happened, are happening now, or will happen in the future…

If you’re wanting to live in a state of serenity and contentment, and endeavor to pursue self-empowerment and transformation it will be necessary to embrace change.

Instead of viewing experiences and events from a dualistic lens, view them from a place of openness, an instead of resisting them, start reprogramming your mind to accept changes for what they are- something that is happening in the here and now of your life (this doesn’t mean you have to like the changes)...

What if it is true that all of the experiences and events that have already taken place, are happening now, or will occur in your life have the “inherent potential” of benefiting you ”?”

This concept is intended to take down your mental defenses and open your mind to greater awareness...

Wouldn’t you want to know what these benefits are?

In this context, I refer to benefits as consisting of insights, gifts, and/ or lessons

Keep in the forefront that if you want to recognize the benefits from the experiences and events that are happening in your life and in the world around you, you’ll have to  train your mind to be open, this is accomplished by:

  • developing your capacity to be present with what is happening in your life and in the world around you;

  • avoid the tendency to view experiences and events from a dualistic lens;

  • have the intention of wanting to know what the benefits are in the experiences and events that are taking place; and

  • direct your mind to discern these benefits.

From the Living in Alignment perspective, all of the experiences and events taking place in your life are intended to increase your awareness and understanding about all aspects of your life, along with illuminating your calling in life.

Equally if not more importantly your increased awareness is intended to reveal the workings of Source energy in your daily life.  Why is this so important? Because the more your mind recognizes the presence of Source energy in your life and in the world around you, the more you’ll want to know about, connect to, and partner with this energy that is greater than the resources of your mind.

A positive feedback loop gets created whereby with increased awareness comes greater understanding, and with greater understanding comes more awareness and more understanding, and so on and so forth and all the while facilitating more self-empowerment and transformation in your life
